Terms and conditions of sale

HomeTerms and conditions of sale

1. Flight rules:

Héliberté Hélicoptères Jet Systems is a civil-aviation approved airline registered under number FR.AOC.0073.
Flights are subject to visual flight rules (VFR, as defined by the French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC)).
Flights are subject to authorisation from the competent authorities.
The indicated length of flights is approximate and may vary according to weather conditions, air traffic and flight authorisations.

2. Insurance:

The cost includes liability insurance covering each passenger on all aircraft used. Risks are covered for amounts comparable to those required by the Warsaw Convention stipulations applicable to airline passengers. Items taken on board by passengers are not covered by our insurers.
It is your responsibility to take out any additional insurance you feel necessary.

3. Boarding conditions

Only people with a valid flight pass (voucher or ticket) will be permitted to board. As a passenger airline, Héliberté HJS is subject to the terms of the Warsaw Convention.
Héliberté HJS pilots are in sole command of the aircraft and have authority over all passengers. They may deny boarding or disembark any person or load that could pose a threat to flight safety.

4. Special terms

4.1 Availability: Flights are operated subject to the availability of aircraft and the hotels/restaurants/activities (packages including accommodation or meals or other activities) included with the order.
4.2 Weather: If a flight is cancelled because of adverse weather conditions, the tickets may be used at another time, within their period of validity. Weather forecasts do not always permit us to state in advance that a flight will be possible. Please note that light rain, wind or cold conditions do not necessarily prevent a flight or affect visibility.
4.3 Force Majeure: Mechanical incidents that could pose a threat to the safety of passengers or goods, occurring during the pre-flight inspection and causing a delay or cancellation of the flight, are deemed to be cases of force majeure.
4.4 Modification of the service: if necessary, Héliberté HJS may, without prior notice, change the type of aircraft, point of take-off and the circuit designated on the ticket.

5. Individuals (“seat sales”)

5.1 Tickets & Prices: Prices are given “per seat” and include VAT and civil aviation liability insurance. They are revised annually. Children aged 2-12 years are eligible for a reduction of 20% on request. Children aged under two (on presentation of proof of age) can fly free of charge, seated on their parents’ knees.
A minimum number of passengers is required before take-off (depending on the aircraft, this may be a minimum of three or four paying passengers).
Tickets are valid for one year from the date of purchase, so cover all seasons (from March to October at most sites). They are not refundable.
You may extend the validity of your ticket for one more year at a charge of €20.
If you make a minimum four unsuccessful attempts to fly (as confirmed by our booking centre), your ticket may be extended for another year, on request, at no extra cost.
You need to request this before your ticket expires.
In all events, tickets expire two years after their issue.
Free tickets cannot be extended or refunded.
If a particular base no longer has any flights available within the tickets’ period of validity, the client may be offered a flight from another base instead.
